The DocumentUpdate::create() method is intended to be passed to Collection::startUpdate() directly. However, ::create() returns a list and ::startUpdate() expects a non-empty-list.

The ::create() method should return a non-empty-list for better compatibility. It should throw if an empty list was produced.
